The new Peugeot 308 SW 1,2L PureTech 130 S&Si engine ushers in the new three-cylinder petrol-fuelled PureTech range available in a turbo version with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transition EAT6i (Efficient Automatic Transmission 6).

Compact dimensions, reduced weight and innovative low-friction materials are key factors in the pursuit of performance, economy, no-compromise reliability and strength. Matching prowess and proficiency, this technological breakthrough reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 21%i . With this new arrival in the family of three-cylinder PureTech petrol engines, the new Peugeot 308 SW combines performance and driving pleasure.



The new Peugeot 308 SW features exciting new technology, including BlueHDi, the name given to the Euro 6 diesel engines.
Thanks to the exclusive combination of a SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system and a FAP additive, the BlueHDi technology drastically reduces (by more than 90%) the NOx emissions, curbs CO2 emissions, and virtually eliminates particulates (99.9 %)i.



New 6-speed Efficient Automatic Transmission EAT6 with Quickshift technology changes gears faster and more smoothly for superior driveability.

Designed to drastically reduce CO2 emissions, this version is ideally positioned from both consumer and comfort standpoints, with the emissions gap between manual gearbox and automatic transmission now reduced to 5 g/km (iso mounted tires).

Associated with the 2.0 litre BlueHDi 150 engine, this transmission will be available in 2014 on the 1,2L PureTech 130 S&S engine.



The Driver Sport Pack option will win the hearts of even the most demanding drivers in search of dynamic response and control. Easily activated at the touch of the Sport button located on the central console, this system adjusts certain parameters to boost the thrill of the road. The power steering becomes more responsive, the accelerator's pickup jumps up a notch, the sound of the engine is amplified and more sporty, the display panel lights shift from white to red, revealing dynamic driving information such as power, overdrive pressure, forward and sideward acceleration.



The new electric power steering replaces the previously used electro-hydraulic variable assist steering, further reducing the new Peugeot 308 SW's CO2 emissions and, combined with the tight steering range, it also improves handling and inner-city manoeuvres.



As a replacement for the traditional key, electronic recognition allows you to unlock the doors, start and stop the engine just by pressing a Start/Stop button. A light touch of the front handles locks the vehicle doors.



The new Peugeot 308 SW standard equipment includes an electric parking brake on the Allure and Feline versions. It automatically engages when the engine stops and releases when the engine starts. 


The Park Assist technology uses sensors to evaluate the size of parking spaces to make any kind of parking safe and simple, even tight parallel manoeuvres. The Park Assist feature directs steering and provides visual and sound warnings when accelerating, braking, shifting gears and engaging the clutch (for manual transmissions). At any time, the driver can take control of the wheel.


When used in conjunction with the electric brake, the Hill Assist function facilitates reignition and hill manoeuvres. This unique technology immobilises the vehicle for a short period (about 2 seconds), allowing the driver to move from the brake to the accelerator.



Like the 308 saloon car, the new Peugeot 308 SW is significantly lighter weight (140 kg less) than its predecessor. In fact, compared to similar cars in its class it's the lightest option on the market. The search to eliminate excess weight was applied to all aspects of its revolutionary design, from the innovative use of aluminium and composite materials to laser soldering.
Even the brake system was adjusted to the lighter weight design, further enhancing the fuel efficiency and reducing the CO2 emissions while ensuring optimum performance and safety at all times.
